Traditional liquid soap is perhaps the world’s oldest kind. Oil (fat) is combined with water distilled in plant ashes (potash). The mixture is then cooked until the heat converts it into a ready to use pasty soap. Cooking for so long, however, kills many of the nutrients in the oil that promote hydration in the skin.
Our unique method avoids heat. Instead we cure the mixture over several weeks or months, a “cold” process that is slow and inefficient, but energy saving and preserves those nutrition in the oils to keep your skin hydrating and prevent a dry feel after wash.
Combined with the nourishing olive oil, this authentic “castille” organic liquid soap is perhaps the only one of its kind in the world.
